Hundreds of Golden Retrievers across Cornwall are meeting for a mass playdate this June.

Organised by Cornwall and Devon Golden Retrievers, the £5 event will take place at Charwell Adventure Park near Callington on 25th June from 11am to 2pm.

With more than 130 Golden Retrievers signed up already, the get-together is the fourth of its kind and is only available for members of the Cornwall and Devon Golden Retrievers Facebook page.

The group has around 1,800 members, with the dogs and owners regularly meeting at various venues across the two counties. Space is very limited, so you'll have to enquire soon if you want to take part.

Speaking to ITV News, organiser Dee Johnson says: "Mine and my husband's six goldies (which are six generations of girls) are like our children. We have seven adult children too, but they have all flown the nest several years ago. We also have nine grandchildren.

"From experience, it takes a certain type of person to own a golden retriever. They are usually very warm, kind, caring and friendly. The best of my friends are goldie owners."
