It’s been a banner year for Megan Moroney, and the milestones and headlines just keep on coming. While the 28-year-old country star was brought to tears on Tuesday, July 28, when she had to cancel her highly anticipated Denver arena stop just three songs in due to being sick—the hardest decision she’s ever had to make—the “Beautiful Things” singer still has so much to smile about. With two months left of her rhinestone-studded Cloud 9 Tour and the drop of her sure-to-sell-out Raising Cane’s limited-edition collectors’ cups, Megan can’t help but feel grateful amidst it all.
“This Cloud 9 era, I've just been in a state of gratitude,” the self-proclaimed emo cowgirl tells Country Living. “I feel like during this era, I've had so many dreams come true that, when I was younger, I didn't even know [were] dreams of mine. When I first started writing songs, I don't know if I ever expected to actually be in arenas playing one day, and this is the album that it's happening with.”
She also never anticipated joining forces with Raising Cane’s, but it was a fit so natural, it was easy to say yes. “It's a collaboration that I was eager to partner with, and [one that] I was excited about, because I've been a longtime Cane's fan,” Megan says. “It dates back to the Athens [Georgia] Cane’s, where I used to walk from my sorority house regularly and go get it—it was a staple in our college diet. So, to be able to work with Todd [Graves] and Cane’s, everyone has been so wonderful, and Todd's a Georgia Bulldog, [so] it just made a lot of sense.”
Since joining forces in November 2025, Raising Cane’s has supported its partnership with Megan via surprise fan experiences in Athens and New York City. During these experiences and across the chain’s marketing, fans caught glimpses of Megan’s hot pink rhinestone Cane’s cup, and TikTok broke into a frenzy. Now, that cup is officially available for sale—and it’s not the only one.
Today, July 30, Raising Cane’s dropped two exclusive, limited-edition collectors’ cups timed to Megan’s ongoing Cloud 9 Tour. Where the 24 oz. Megan Moroney Rhinestone Tumbler ($19.99) is bedazzled with hot pink rhinestones, with $2 from every purchase benefiting the Megan Moroney Foundation, the 32 oz. Cloud 9 Souvenir Cup ($19.99) is a clear, glittery pink cup with matching lid and straw, featuring Megan’s signature—suffice to say, both are expected to sell out.
Megan is grateful for this, too, as she’s looking forward to her foundation being able to give back to the causes that mean so much to her: bullying prevention and mental health and well-being.
“Over the years, meeting my fans, reading messages from them, I just feel like everyone is going through a lot, and even these young girls that are, like, 10 years old, tell me about how I saved their life with my music, so I just wanted to shine a light on mental health, and let these young people know that they're not alone and encourage them to get the help they need if they do need it,” Megan says, noting the why behind her foundation. “I have songs like ‘Bless Your Heart’ that I wrote about my own bullies, telling them to ‘F-off,’ basically. [So I’m] just trying to give my fans who deal with similar things the confidence, hope, and resources they might need.”
At the end of the day, Megan might be having the time of her life as she achieves one pinch-me-is-this-real-life milestone after the next, but the way she sees it, her Cloud 9 era and career are far bigger than herself. “It's less about me and more for my fans,” she says. “As far as what I hope my fans get from the era after the tour is over, just knowing that they're not alone in whatever they're going through. I feel like this tour is especially group therapy, because everyone is experiencing these things together, and I'm proud of the environment my fans and I have created at these shows. It's very inclusive and light and fun, so I hope they take that feeling and the memories with them until next time.”
Cloud 9 went No. 1 on the Billboard 200 albums chart roughly two weeks after its February 20 debut. “I'm just very grateful… It's a celebration, because it's, like, ‘Wait, this is actually working out,’” Megan shares. “The songs, there's a lot of growth there—my albums are kind of like a snapshot of my life. So, I would say the Cloud 9 version of me is definitely more grown up, and she's gone through more things than the “Am I Okay?” and “Lucky” versions of me, and I know more about myself now.”
One can only imagine what will come next from the chart-topping star. Kudos and extra Cane’s sauce to you, Megan!
