- Riley Green makes his third appearance in a new episode of Marshals on Sunday, May 3.
- He’ll lock lips with one of Kayce Dutton’s teammates, Andrea Cruz.
- It’s not yet clear if this is the start of a true relationship for the pair.
Garrett is officially shacking up with one of Kayce Dutton’s Marshal teammates, which means Riley Green will get his first onscreen kissing scene on a new episode of Marshals (Sunday, May 3, 8 p.m. ET on CBS).
People has the exclusive first look clip, and it’s juicy. Not only does Riley lock lips in this scene, but he’s shirtless when he comes downstairs. Before we see him, there’s an interaction between Kayce and Garrett’s new love interest, Andrea Cruz (Ash Santos). He’s a little surprised to see her in his kitchen and tells her, “I didn’t realize you were still here.” She responds: “I ain’t no two-cheek sneak,” then offers him some freshly brewed coffee.
Then, Garrett enters and lays down a pretty spicy line that implies he’s had a fun night with his new friend. “I'll tell you what, coyote, if we had teammates like Andrea in the Navy, I'd still be a SEAL,” he quips. “I can't resist the power of a country ballad,” Andrea says back. That’s good stuff!
Last week on Marshals, Garrett got a moment to show off his guitar skills, which was an easy scene for Riley — a real-life country music superstar — to conjure up. The fireside serenade came after Andrea was rescued by her team. She’d been taken prisoner, and Kayce is forced to lead his team into a pretty dangerous scene on a paramilitary compound.
This week’s new episode is called “On Thin Ice,” and it finds Kayce and his teammate Cal spending an unexpected night on a mountainside in the freezing cold after a prison transfer doesn’t go according to plan. That’s all significant to the plot of the series, but country music fans will no doubt be tuning in to see the return of Garrett … both with and without his shirt.
It’s not clear yet if Garrett and Andrea’s sleepover will turn into more than a one-night event, but we know Riley has secured a four-episode run on Marshals, so it’s likely to develop into something, be it sparks or drama. The May 3 episode marks his third appearance.
Fans have Luke Grimes (Kayce) to thank for Riley’s new acting gig — he was the one to suggest to showrunners that the “Worst Way” hitmaker might be a good fit. “I knew I wasn't doing myself any favors. Who wants to stand next to him on screen? You know what I mean? He's 6'4" and pretty darn handsome,” Luke joked in telling the story to SiriusXM’s The Highway.
After Marshals airs on CBS, it can be streamed on Paramount+. “On Thin Ice” premieres at 8 p.m. ET on the network this Sunday.
