Live out your fairytale dreams with a weekend stay at this enchanted treehouse hideaway in the picturesque village of Blean, Kent.

Inspired by Enid Blyton's famous novel The Faraway Tree, this treehouse cottage has wooden floors, rustic furniture, a roaring log burner, fire pit, wood-fired hot tub, a quirky kitchen, life-size mushrooms that look like they belong in a children's book, and beautiful, picture-perfect gardens.

If you're looking to escape to the country, then look no further, as this cottage ticks all the right boxes. Quite wonderfully, you'll find many little luxuries around the property. The wood-panelled bathroom, which is situated downstairs, has delightfully soft robes, fresh towels and little hotel-like toiletries, too. It might be rustic, but it certainly doesn't lack the comforts of home.

One of our favourite features is the bedroom, which has a glass dome in the roof for stargazing at night. When you finished relaxing in the hot tub, grab a hot chocolate, climb into bed and look up: the stars here are a real sight to behold.

"The Enchanted Faraway Tree is a wonderful location for an unforgettable weekend break, offering its guests a touch of magical fantasy and the chance to totally disconnect and unwind in the beautiful Kent countryside," says the team.

This charming holiday home is found just three miles away from both Canterbury and Whitstable, where you'll discover some of the UK's best beaches. When you're not enjoying all the treehouse has to offer, head into Blean for a taste of village life. There's a traditional pub, local shop, nature reserve, plus costal walking routes just moments away. Top tip: pack your bike to cycle along the seafront. It's an experience you won't forget.

You can book The Enchanted Faraway Tree from £247 a night via Independent Cottages.
