Spring is in the air, and a new collection from John Lewis celebrates some of the most joyous colours and flourishing plants of the season.

Dutch artist Anine Cecilie Iverson has collaborated with the high street stalwart on a 114-piece homeware collection, featuring rugs, lighting, tableware and gifts.

Inspired by summers growing up in Scandinavia, Anine’s latest collection – available in stores and online now – draws on memories from her childhood and reimagines them full of bright colour, classic patterns and beautiful details. You'll spot familiar spring favourites like tulips and poppy anemones peppered throughout – all with a distinctively retro design feel.

“When I was a young girl I spent many summers surrounded by nature, which I always found so calming and inspiring,” she exclusively tells Country Living.

“I love to take inspiration from seasonal flowers and botanicals. As I was creating the designs for the spring/summer collection, I took inspiration from fruits and florals in season in Scandinavia during this time of year, such as pears and plums, pansies and tulips, that are some of my absolute favourites to paint. Pansies because of their beautiful colourways, tulips for the sculptural shapes.

“I’m inspired every day by botanicals and nature – and I find nuances in all aspects of colour, light and silhouettes.”

Shoppers will find cushions, tableware, bed linen, textiles (including an on-trend quilted bedspread), home accessories and lighting, with pieces ranging from £9-£195.

Speaking about her favourite items from the collection, Anine says: “I adore the tulip tea cup and saucer with the delicate ceramic tea strainer. I love to think of making tea as a time to reflect and take a moment to myself. I’m a true believer in not keeping things ‘for best’ and using beautiful items in your day to day.”

Below are a few standout pieces from the range that would be perfect for easy spring home updates, Easter hosting, gifting and more...
