- Kosher salt
- Freshly ground black pepper
- 1 small garlic clove, chopped
- 4 anchovy fillets
- 1 tsp. Worcestershire sauce
- 1 Tbsp. fresh lemon juice
- 1/2 tsp. Dijon mustard
- 1 large egg yolk
- 1/2 (5-ounce) package spring lettuces
- 1 romaine heart, chopped
- 1 oz. Parmesan, grated (about 1/3 cup)
- Pickled Shallot, for serving
Directions
- Step 1Preheat oven to 425°F. Toss together bread, cayenne pepper, and 1/4 cup olive oil on a rimmed baking sheet. Season with salt and pepper. Toast, tossing once, until golden brown and crispy, 12 to 15 minutes; cool.
